On September 14, 2014, Chef Joel Viehland of Community Table delivered a culinary adventure at the The West Cornwall Covered Bridge on the Housatonic River in Cornwall, CT. The event paid homage to farmers, artisans and the natural bounty of the northeast through an intimate dinner experience. Originally built in 1864, the West Cornwall Covered Bridge served as the setting for the open-air feast, with a seven-course menu consisting of vegetables, meat, and seafood that have been locally sourced and foraged. The memorable gathering commenced with a champagne reception followed by a tasting menu with wine pairings by Krug Champagne and Château Clos Dubreuil, the award winning Grand Cru Bordeaux from Saint-Émilion. All proceeds to the event benefited the Cornwall Volunteer Fire Department.
